Kindergarten Admissions Test Released
Tonio Ocampo (05.03.2007)
The names of 105 children who qualified for kindergarten admissions for AY 2007-2008 was released today. This year 1555 children took the admissions test which was administered from April 2-4, and April 9-13. The UPIS is only allowed to admit 100 students at Kindergarten based on rank in the admissions test with a 5% leeway for tied scores. Sixty percent of those admitted should be children of University personnel.
Six applicants who were children of UP personnel tied for the last slot allotted to them. As such, the UPIS accept all 6. However, 31 applicants who were children of non-UP personnel tied for the last 5 remaining slots allotted to children of non-UP personnel. As is the practice in similar situations, the slots were raffled off. The lottery was held on April 27, 2007. The parents of these 31 applicants were all invited to attend the lottery. Those who could not make it were included in the lottery just the same.
Those who are on the list of qualified applicants should get their notification letter from the Office of the Principal (c/o Mrs. Lita Capones) starting May 3, 2007. Those not on the list will receive their notification via mail.
